The Retour: Falling Whistles Bikes Across the Country

The Three Things We Learned Today

Posted in Uncategorized by Falling Whistles Bike Tour 2010 on July 10, 2010

1. When google maps prescribes different routes for walking directions and biking directions, DO NOT try to take the walking directions on a bike, even if they are 12 miles shorter.

2. NEVER try to ride a bike through a National Forest, even if it is in New Mexico and should really be called a National Semi-Arid Prairie Region.

3. Riding a bike on the interstate is, surprisingly enough, LEGAL in New Mexico, and much faster than walking over big ruts in the ground filled with sand and baseball-sized rocks.

Guys, I continue to thank God for not only your safety on all types of roads but also for the favor He has given you in all of the people He has put in your path during this unforgetable season of your lives. No doubt, He is preparing each of you for a work (or works) that will bring Him glory. As one who loves this present generation of young people and one who believes deeply that God is really going to do something dramatic through you…… I am thrilled and encouraged by what you are doing. Peddle on, in His srength and for His glory. May many come to know something of God’s awesomeness because of your willingness to be used by Him.
